Professional Article Review
In this article it talks about how colleges not only look at the students applications, but colleges also look at the students social media accounts. They often have to reject students with high GPAs because of what they post on their social media accounts. Colleges do not want people that post offensive stuff in their college communities. In this article their were things that surprised me. In paragraph 19 they talk about how they didn't accept a student because of their offensive comments. I did not know that social media played such a big part in getting into college.Another thing that surprised me overall is that colleges even look at social media in the first place.This never seemed like a big deal to me...until now. I also started to question whether or not my high school looks at social media. There were also big words in the article including expletive, ubiquitous, and shrewd. Now that I read this article I will definitely start watching what I post on my social media and make sure my friends watch what they post as well.
