First Project in Adobe Illustrator

The first project in Adobe Illustrator was to create a raccoon. We followed a simple tutorial to help us create the raccoon. I decided to make my raccoon a bit more girly and I added a light pink bow. I also decided to add some trees with light pink berries on the in the background. I was going for a background that looked like it had snowed. I also added a light pink border the complete the image and make it look more complete. For our second project we had take the raccoon we made and tie it into a holiday themed postcard. I decided to do mine over Independence Day because it is near my birthday and I thought the raccoon would look good decked out in Fourth of July gear. I wanted to make this postcard more personal so I decided to make my own handwritten typography. I had one the said Happy Independence Day. I saw an image online that said Happy Birthday America and decided to use that as the writing on my postcard. I added new outfits on the raccoons and fireworks in the background.
